Financial Supporters
The following organizations have provided financial support to the OCC:
The
David Elton Outdoor Fund
sponsored workshops for outdoor leaders in 2007 and 2008 that identified a need for national certification. An additional grant in 2009 provided resources to launch the Council. The grant was generously renewed in 2009 to provide for core funding for the Council period through to November 2010.
The
Outdoor Centre
at the University of Calgary provided funding to support a part time salary for an organizer and then the Executive Director from Sept. 2008 - April 2010.
The
Mountain Equipment Coop
has provided a Grant to assist the Council in building the structures needed for success for the period Oct. 2009 to Dec. 2010.
